New Sponsors for Football Delhi, Delhi Soccer association

The JSW Group, a pioneer in the steel and cement industry has funded the Football Delhi  the erstwhile DSA. The JSW Group has decided to fund the football body for the next 3 years, the news is a big inspiration for all the players and people associated to the football world. Football Delhi is the governing body of  Football in Delhi.

The JSW Group under the JSW sports banner has supported the development of many young athletes. Apart from being the main sponsors for Bengaluru FC, they are helping talented sportsmen reach out to the world, the  JSW group are sponsoring athletes like wrestlers Pooja Dhandha and Sakhshi Malik, Neeraj Chopra of Javelin Throw and many more to win gold for the nation.

The Association has been able to get support from the corporate world in various forms and now has several Support Partners like JSW, Angelique Foundation, ExperealMyCujoo (Live Streaming Site) and ITCombine who manage the Web presence for Football Delhi.  These are really good sign for development of Football in Delhi.

After the recent change in the leadership Football Delhi has initiated many events related to football, one such event is the Football Delhi Golden League, which is generating huge interest and participation across Delhi. The recent matches witnessed participation of around 1200 players, the league was a huge success at all the eight venues where it took  place, the audience enjoyed over 200+ goals being scored.

The players from Delhi have always made an impactious contribution to the football sport, Delhi players have done well in the past and are continuing to do so. The Indian Football team captain Sunil Chhetri is one major historical contribution of Delhi to the football realm. Sunil Chhetri, born and brought up in Delhi, serves an inspiration for all the football players in India who dream  to make it to the international football platform someday.

Football Delhi  celebrated the birthday of Sunil Chhetri as Delhi Football Day, the occasion was marked by the presence of Sunil Chhetri’s parents who interacted with the younger talent and motivated them the play sports more passionately. 3rd August, from now on will be celebrated as FOOTBALL DELHI Day, every year.

Due to increased focus and structured approach of Football Delhi, there has been a surge in involvement and performance of Players, specially Girls of Delhi, who have performed equally well and are nowhere less in comparison  to the boys, Aveka Singh got selected in the under 14 Indian Jr Football Team  and is making news as the Vice Captain of the team. Recently 2 Seniors girls Aditi Chauhan  and Dalima  Chibber have been inducted to the Indian Senior Womens team.

The future of Football in Delhi certainly looks bright.
