The trailer of ‘the kerala story’ has been released. The movie is set to be released on May5th,2023. It is produced by Vipul shah. The trailer of the movie showed a burqa clad woman with tagline ‘uncovering the truth that was kept hidden’.
The trailer of the film shows a Muslim girl coming to live with some other girls, then starts giving them knowledge on Islam. In this way, she is motivating others to adopt Islam. The same girl insults Hindu gods and is seen trying to prove Hinduism wrong in the minds of Hindu girls.The conspiracy of love jihad has been shown in the film.The hijab agenda is also shown in the film. In this, a Muslim girl is advising some of her friends that wearing a hijab does not cause incidents like rape or molestation
This movie is being compared by The Kashmir files because of its controversial theme. It is called as islamaphobic movie by extremists.
According to film makers, It is based on true events and they tried to tell the tale of how women from Kerala were tricked and trafficked to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in the conflict zone of Syria.
After few days of trailer released, protest are being sparked in some areas of kerala. Congress as well as some other parties are claiming that is propaganda by sangh parivar to spread hatred among people.
Senior Congress leader and Thiruvananthapuram MP Shashi Tharoor on Sunday weighed in on the controversy surrounding the movie and said, “It may be your Kerala story. It is not our Kerala story.”
