During the announcement of his release date, Manoj Bajpayee, the National Award winner said in a media statement, “After our successful partnership with Silence…Can You Hear it? and Dial 100, we are now bringing a captivating story to life that deserves all the attention, and I can’t wait for you to join us on this incredible adventure! I am excited to present another glimpse of Bandaa which will premiere soon on ZEE5”.
Premiered today (23rd May) on Zee5 Global, the film is an ‘intense courtroom’ drama written by Deepak Kingrani, directed by Apoorv Singh Karki and produced by Vinod Bhanushali and Suparn S Varma.
Last year, on December 7, Manoj Bajpayee revealed the first look of the film in which he was portrayed as more intense person thinking something on serious matter.

The story revolves around a lawyer, starred by Manoj Bajpayee, who never give up and is in continuous fight against all odds for justice.
The film ‘Bandaa’ is a biopic of PC Solanki, the Sessions Court lawyer in Jodhpur. He fought a five-year-long battle continuously to bring justice to the minor girl, Nu Singh, played by Adrija. Nu was sexually assaulted by the self-styled godman (Baba), played by Surya. He shaked the entire nation while advocated the rape victim case.
Netizens praised the performance of Manoj Bajpayee in the film.
‘Bandaa’ also got praised at the New York Indian Film Festival.
