The fans of Allu Allu and the Pushpa franchise will be eagerly waiting for the release of sequel Pushpa: The Rise. Though it was initially slotted for an August 15, 2024, a new date is now announced for Pushpa 2: The Rule. On Monday evening, Rashmika Mandanna posted that the much-talked-about film would now release on December 6, 2024.
The announcement came along with a striking new poster that brings back Allu playing an iconic role as Pushpa Raj. Wearing a grey T-shirt and brown shirt with matching the bandana on his head, Allu’s character holds a sword on his shoulder while looking into the camera with some intensity. Shared by Allu on his X handle, the poster has furtherheightened all sorts of excitement among fans.
The delay comes amidst a competitive release period. Pushpa 2 would have locked horns with biggies like Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again, Nikkhil Advani’s Vedaa, Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein, and Puri Jagannadh’s Double iSmart. With this new release date, Pushpa 2 should be able to steer clear of these potent clashes at the Box Office counter.

It fetched Allu a National Film Award for his stunning performance in the film. The sequel is touted to take the story further.
