Al Halal to Offer €400 Million to Messi Largest Ever Deal in Football History

According to renowned Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano, Saudi club Al Hilal has allegedly offered Lionel Messi a staggering €400 million a year contract. Messi’s contract expires at the end of the current campaign, and he is expected to leave Paris Saint-Germain.

On Tuesday night, Romano posted that Messi has received a formal offer from Al Hilal.

However, the Italian journalist claims that the Argentine superstar is eager to play for another team in Europe.

“Leo Messi received a formal offer from Al Hilal: a salary of more than €400 million annually. Continue in Europe is Leo’s top goal, wrote Romano on social media.

Why this is offered?

However, if Messi accepts the Al Hilal offer, he will team up with his fiercest adversary Cristiano Ronaldo, who currently represents Al Nassr. Messi, a World Cup champion who will turn 36 in June, signed a two-year contract with PSG in 2021 that ends after this season.

The impact of this contract on PSG?

As the teams were revealed on Sunday before PSG’s 1-0 home loss to Lyon, some PSG supporters booed the Argentine’s name. In 67 appearances for PSG across all categories, Messi has contributed to 29 goals and 32 more assists. Rafael Yuste, vice-president of Barcelona, acknowledged last week that there had been “contact” with Messi and added, “I would love it if he returned.”
