Sri Lanka’s experienced and fast bowler Lasith Malinga announced on 23 July that he will be retiring from ODI matches after the first game of one-day international series against Bangladesh.

He was selected in Sri Lanka’s 22-members team for the upcoming three-days ODIs against Bangladesh at Colombo’s R Premadasa Stadium which will be starting from 26 July. But it was clear in the official announcement that Malinga will be available for Twenty20 Internationals.
