Two days ago, a 32-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run incident in Delhi that made national headlines. Newly-released CCTV footage released by the victim’s family captures the moment that the incident occurred.
The footage, taken around 8.45 p.m. on Monday, shows the victim Sidharth Sharma crossing the road when a Mercedes hits him, flinging him into the air, causing severe injuries.
Delhi Police has revealed that the car was being driven at a speed of 100 km per hour, and came to a stop soon after the accident, as its front tyres had burst. The teenager then abandoned the car and ran away. He was later arrested under the existing laws for juvenile offenders, but later released on bail.
