The Statue of Unity is in the list of World’s 100 greatest places to visit in 2019 as released by Time Magazine. The list included best places to visit, places to eat and stay in Italy, Greece, Australia, Japan and others included India. Prime Minister Narender Modi said that it is excellent news to see the Statue of Unity in list of World’s greatest place and it is emerging as a popular tourist spot.

The 182-meter tall Statue of Unity, located at the Shore of Narmada River facing the Sardar Sarovar Dam, is a statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was inaugurated by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 31, 2018, on the 143rd birth anniversary of Patel.
The Statue of Unity broke the record of tallest sculpture in the world, the Buddha Temple of China, which is 128 m high.
