Two days after Shahid Afridi stepped down, wicketkeeper/batsman Sarfraz Ahmed has been named captain of Pakistan’s T20 team.
Sarfraz Ahmed has played 21 T20 Internationals and is widely respected as a team man. He will replace the controversial Shahid Afridi as the country’s T20 captain.
The 28-year-old has so far played 21 T20 Internationals and is widely regarded as a strong team man.
Pakistan had a disastrous time at the Asia Cup T20, winning only two out of four games. Following the horror run, Afridi, criticised for his poor captaincy and bad form, resigned as captain.
