Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). His wife Rivaba Jadeja revealed it in a post on a social media platform X (formerly known as twitter. A day after India won the T20 World Cup2024 tournament held in Barbados, on June 30, Ravindra Jadeja announced his retirement from T20 international cricket.
Jadeja, who is famous for his exceptional all round on field exploits, has made the decision to enter politics. Rivaba Jadeja, who is already a BJP MLA from the Jamnagar North assembly constituency in Gujarat, uploaded her and her husband’s membership card on X.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi renewed his membership on September 2, launching BJP’s 2024 membership drive, “Sanghatan Parva, Sadasyata Abhiyan 2024”, earlier this week. He also asked party members to make additional efforts to collaborate with the younger generation.
In an interview with reporters,Rivaba Jadeja stated that Ravindra Jadeja joined the party during the nationwide membership campaign that Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated on Thursday, when he renewed his membership in New Delhi.
