Nikita Porwal Wins Femina Miss India 2024

At a grand ceremony at Mumbai’s Famous Studios on October 16, 2024, they crowned Nikita Porwal of Madhya Pradesh as Femina Miss India. The legendary beauty pageant celebrated its 60th year with this event. Nikita’s self-assured manner and attractive smile pleased the judges, enabling her to take the title previously held by Nandini Gupta. Neha Dhupia, a former Miss India, placed the sash on the newly crowned queen to offer a personal touch.

Nikita Porwal was born and raised in Ujjain, a city renowned for its spiritual significance. Consequently, she credits her upbringing for fostering both her curiosity and critical thinking. After completing her education at Carmel Covent Senior Secondary School, she went on to study at Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. Furthermore, Miss Femina highlights Nikita as a prime example of independence and tenacity. Her parents, from an early age, encouraged her to challenge social norms. As a result, this nurturing environment fueled her curiosity, inspiring her to explore her spiritual roots and develop a passion for storytelling.

Despite her young age, Nikita has already made a name for herself as an actor. She has appeared in more than 60 plays, including the well-known drama Krishna Leela. Impressively, she wrote Krishna Leela herself. Additionally, she is honing her skills in the film Chambal Paar, which has gained praise at international film festivals. Moving forward, she hopes to collaborate with acclaimed director Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Apart from her artistic aspirations, Nikita is an avid supporter of animal welfare. She wants to use her position to advocate empathy and compassion for all living things.  “The idea of innocent animals suffering due to neglect is heartbreaking. Nikita expressed her commitment to animal welfare, stating, “As guardians of this planet, we must ensure the well-being of those who cannot advocate for themselves.” She aims to raise public awareness about animal protection. In addition, she plans to start petitions to strengthen existing laws. Moreover, Nikita emphasizes that improving animal welfare ultimately benefits humanity as a whole.
