Microsoft is holding a final stage discussion with the Telangana government to execute the idea of setting up a data centre in the state with an estimated investment of 15,000 crores. The tech giant has finalized the land to build the facility near Hyderabad.

Microsoft’s idea to set up the data centre comes close on the heels of Brookfield Infrastructure intending to establish a joint venture to develop such facilities in India under the brand name BAM Digital Realty and it may come out with a public announcement soon,” said a source. A spokesperson for Microsoft India did not comment on the matter.
