Leo Messi has tore his internal collateral ligament of the left knee and will be out of action for 8 weeks as per the Barcelona club release. Fans are heartbroken but its quite a tricky situation for the club. The start of the season has not really been as expected. Rivals Real Madrid and Athletico Madrid have made significantly better starts.
#Messi will miss the following games in these 7-8 weeks that he is expected to remain out for treatment. The matches include some easy ones where he could have scored goals to close the gap created by Ronaldo, Banzema and Nolito.
Champions league matches: Bayer Leverkusen on 30th September. Borisov on 21st October and 5th November.
LaLiga Matches: Sevilla on 3rd October, Rayo vallecano on 18th October, Eibar on 25th October, Getafe on 1st November, Villareal on 8th November and Real Madrid on 22nd November.
This injury is also a matter of concern for The Argentina national side who have to face tough matches for their
South American World Cup qualifiers. Matches against Equador, Paraguay, Brazil and Colombia are slotted in October and November.
Fans across the world have expressed worry and sadness.
