Manu Bhaker hits back at trolls over ‘showing off’ Olympic medals

Manu Bhaker is an Indian athlete who has won two Olympic medals. She recently responded to internet critics. She did this by posting a touching picture of her medal collection on social media. In her post, she displayed the many medals she has won over the years. She also reminisced about her difficult and drawn-out path to Olympic triumph. After the Olympics in Paris, Manu became quite popular, but she also encountered a lot of harassment on social media.

Manu has been under fire for allegedly “flaunting” her Olympic accomplishments at numerous national award ceremonies. In order to partake in various promotional activities and awards, she took a hiatus from competition shooting, becoming the first Indian woman to win several medals at a single Olympic Games.

Manu started filming when she was just 14 years old, and she never imagined rising to such heights. She urged others to follow their aspirations with unwavering determination in her article, regardless of the obstacles they may encounter. “Every small step forward brings you closer to greatness,” she said, emphasizing the value of passion and focus in reaching greatness. Manu shared a picture of her two Olympic medals conspicuously placed on her bed, expressing her continued desire to win gold medals at the Olympics.

Manu Bhaker has her own accomplishments. Additionally, she and her partner, Sarabjot Singh, recently won a bronze medal. They competed in the 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team competition. Moreover, the pair defeated Lee Wonho and Oh Ye Jin of South Korea. They secured the bronze medal play-off with a score of 16–10. This was, in fact, India’s second medal in the competition. Furthermore, their consistency throughout the series confirmed their standing in the sport.

Manu explained her reason for wearing her Olympic medals in an interview.

“It took me eight and a half years to earn those medals for India, and I believe they truly belong to the country. They are with me only temporarily throughout my life. Whenever I travel, people often ask to see the medals and request that I bring them along. There are always candid photos taken when they see them, which get posted online,” she said.

Manu Bhaker is excited to get back to training; however, she won’t be competing in the forthcoming Shooting World Cup in New Delhi. Her focus is now on impending difficulties, the Olympics in Los Angeles being a major objective on her path to greater success.
