Sri Lanka batsman Kaushal Silva was declared to be out of danger after suffering a blow to his head on Sunday during a practice match at Pallekele on Sunday.
Silva was fielding at short-leg and got hit on the back of his head despite wearing a helmet with additional padding when Dinesh Chandimal swept a ball. He was immediately taken to a hospital in Kandy where he underwent a CAT scan.
He was left dazed for some time immediately after the impact and was then airlifted to a hospital in Colombo.
The Sri Lankan cricketers have been preparing for the England tour with this two-day practice match and Silva had scored a ton on the first day.
