In adding to this director Hansal Mehta come out in support of the actress. He said in a tweet that,” If you cannot stand up with her, at least leave her alone and let the law decide? Allow her some dignity and privacy. It is unfortunate that people in public life ultimately are left to fend for themselves and are proclaimed guilty even before justice is melted out”.
The filmmaker also lashed out at Bollywood celebs for making it a silent topic. He said,” This silence is a pattern. In good times everybody parties together. In bad times there is a deafening silence. There is isolation. No Matter what the ultimate truth is. The damage is already done”.
