It was a once in a lifetime opportunity for Soccer fans from Delhi. Sunil Chhetri is the current Indian and Bengaluru FC captain. He was facilitated in ‘An Evening with Sunil Chhetri’ organised by Football Delhi at Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium. Sunil Chhetri was given the FOOTBALL  RATNA AWARD 

Sunil Chhetri interacted openly with fans, Media personnel and Soccer association present and past officials. He carries a very wise head upon his shoulders. Sunil was very prompt and straight forward in answering to all the questions.

He had good words of advice to kids who are taking up football. When asked about the importance about Skill and Stamina for a football Player, Sunil Chhetri insisted that ‘Hardwork’ is more important. He stressed upon the fact that there are no shortcuts even if a player has good ‘Skills’ and ‘Stamina’.

Sunil Chhetri was recently awarded the PadmShri for his outstanding contribution to Football. Sunil has taken Indian Football up the ladder on the global stage. The Indian team had a fantastic outing at the AFC Asian Cup where Sunil Chhetri added to his tally of International goals to 67. Sunil Chhetri is now the second top scorer of International goals. He is ranked second after Christiano Ronaldo leaving behind Messi among the active international Players.

The event was a memorable one for all who attended. Football Delhi President Shaji Prabhakaran awarded the first ever Football Ratna award to the living Legend.
