The 69th Filmfare Awards was held in Gujarat on Sunday 28th January. The event was hosted by Filmmaker-producer Karan Johar, actor Ayushmann Khurrana, and TV host Maniesh Paul. During the ceremony, power couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor rocked the show by taking home the top prizes for their roles in movies that came out the previous year. Ranbir Kapoor won the coveted trophy for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Male) for his performance in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s controversial film Animal, while Alia Bhatt won the title for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) for her role in Karan Johar’s romantic family drama Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani.

While Vikrant Massey (12th Fail), Rani Mukerji (Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway), and Shefali Shah (Three Of Us) won the coveted Black Lady award for being named Best actors by the Critics, Devashish Makhija’s thriller Joram took home the Filmfare award for Best Film (Critics’).
The event featured glitzy red carpet arrivals, enthralling performances, and motivational moments of triumph.
