Manohar Parrikar, Goa’s Chief Minister and former Defence Minister of India, took his last breath on Sunday evening after a fluctuating heath for several days. He fought against his pancreatic cancer for a long one year due to his will power.  In recent months this year, he appeared in public with a tube in his nose and with weak heath. The Central Government declared March 18 as national mourning day and 7 days mourning for Goa. He was great and a simple man with full of knowledge.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other political leaders paid tribute to Mr Parrikar as state funeral with full military honors. The funeral parade was attended by many people as he was a great leader of the nation. His last rites were executed at Miramar Beach. President Ram Nath Kovind also tweeted on his death.

He was a true nationalist who dedicated his entire life to serve the country and always sticked to his ideology during the toughest time of his life too. Because of his popularity and dedication, everyone is praying for his soul in peace.

He was considered as ‘Gem of India’ by people of India.
