The Chief Operations Officer of India operations of Britannica has committed suicide in Gurgaon, as Times of India has reported.

According to the report, Vineet Whig, COO of South Asia division of Britannica, committed suicide from the 19th floor of his building in Cyber City, Gurgaon.

Whig had his wife, two sons, a daughter and his father.

A resident of DLF Belvedere Park, Whig is suspected to have jumped to his death from the air shaft of the 19th floor of the Block C of the apartment complex. Police found his footwear there.
