Atiq Ahmed’s Son Asad and Shooter Ghulam were Killed in an Encounter by UP STF

In an encounter with the Uttar Pradesh Police Special Task Force (UPSTF) team led by DySP Navendu and DySP Vimal at Jhansi on Thursday, Asad, the son of mafia-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed, and shooter Ghulam, both wanted in the Umesh Pal murder case of Prayagraj and carrying rewards of Rs. 5 lahks each were both killed. Advanced foreign-made weaponry was found during the operation.

Asad is the main suspect in the case because, according to the police, he shot Umesh Pal in Prayagraj on February 24 while it was still daylight. Asad, the son of Atiq, was set to marry Ayesha Noori’s daughter They got engaged a year ago. Asad, the son of Atiq, took part in the Umesh Pal shootout case.

Who were the people involved in the case?

Dr Akhlaq, the husband of Atiq’s sister Ayesha Noori, was already detained by police and imprisoned. On the same day that Atiq Ahmad and his brother appeared before a Prayagraj court in relation to the case, Asad was killed in an encounter. For his court appearance, the thug was transported by vehicle from Ahmedabad’s Sabarmati jail to Prayagraj. From the Bareilly prison, his brother Khalid Azim alias Ashraf was brought.

Who was Umesh pal?

Umesh Pal was there when Ahmad is said to have killed Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) politician Raju Pal in 2005. Umesh Pal and his two security guards were shot dead outside his Prayagraj residence on February 24. Upon receiving a complaint from Umesh Pal’s wife Jaya Pal, A case was filed against Ahmad, Ashraf, their family members, and others on February 25 as a result of a complaint made by Umesh Pal’s wife Jaya Pal.

The FIR was filed under the IPC sections 302 (murder), 307 (attempt to kill), 506 (criminal intimidation), 147 (rioting), 148 (rioting with deadly weapons), 149 (unlawful assembly guilty of the offence committed in prosecution of common object), and 302 (murder).
