Amit Singhal, the longtime chief of internet search business, will leave the company and be replaced by the head of the technology’ s artificial intelligence.
John Giannandrea, currently a vice president of engineering, will replace Singhal after February 26.
In a blog post announcing the move, Singhal said he would spend the next 15 years giving back to “people who are less fortunate.”

Google’s decision to replace Singhal with Giannandrea was a sign features dependent on machine learning, which answers questions and conducts searches with the push of a button, which will play a larger part in future of searches.
Google’s fan were quite disappointed with this decision.

And unfortunately, Google’s stock fell after Singhal announced his retirement. Although analysis deny the same.
