Euro 2016 kicked off in French capital Paris on Friday with a glittering opening ceremony where EDM artist and DJ David Guetta performed.
The French producer performed his tournament anthem ‘This One’s For You’ alongside Swedish singer-songwriter Zara Larsson while 600 choreographed dancers added to the spectacle.
The opening ceremony went off without a hitch as extravagantly dressed dancers took centre stage and performed on the pitch, which had been temporarily transformed into a French garden.
The huge crowd then gave a rousing rendition of ‘La Marseillaise’, the French national anthem, in scen
es reminiscent of the aftermath of November’s bloody attacks.
On November 13, while a friendly match was being played between France and Germany was being played at the Stade de France, three explosions were set off by suicide bombers outside the ground.
The ceremony ended with a huge illustration of the Eiffel Tower rising towards the top of the stadium.
Reactions:
Not bonkers enough yet this, needs more giraffes eating jelly or motorcycling fish.

Not knocking David Guetta’s DJ booth but it looks like the Euro 2016 fans’ info desk at Gare du Nord. I wonder if he’s got a train timetable
