When Messi is happy, his teammates are happy, the fanbase is happy and Barça is happy! Last season has been some bit harsh on Messi though. He scored many goals for barca but could not beat Ronaldo for Most goals. He took Argentina to the finals of the World Cup and the Copa America but could not win the Trophies.

Messi is known to keep his cool and disrupt the defence of teams with his skill and presence of mind. Messi made the most number of Assists last season and this fact definitely puts him ahead of any other player in the world. However there have been instances when Messi has lost his cool. Last night in the Gamper Trophy game Messi headbutted Roma’s Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa and then proceeded to grab him by the throat before getting pushed away by the referee.

There have been earlier instances also when Messi is known to have lost his cool. Messi lost his cool during one Clasico and confronted Alvaro Arbeloa after the match calling him Stupid. The trigger could be that during the match Arbeloa and Xabi Alonso repeatedly touched Messi’s face to try and provoke him. Messi was reported as having shouted “What are you looking at? Shut up. You’re just [Jose] Mourinho’s puppet.”
Another time was when he was kicked on his foot and retaliated and was sent off for Barcelona on his international debut as a teenager in 2005. We now know for sure the 3 things that make Messi angry, a unnecessary Shoulder bump, a kick on the foot and toughing his face.
