Finally, viewers will see Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan collaborating on an espionage thriller. Tiger vs. Pathaan, the following movie in the Spy Universe series from Yash Raj Films (YRF), will be directed by Siddharth Anand in reaction to the positive reception Salman’s appearance in King Khan’s Pathaan received from viewers.
The producers decided to add another section to the movie Pathaan because of the film’s incredible box-office success after its release. YRF has assigned Siddharth Anand the responsibility of directing the picture for this new instalment of Tiger vs. Pathaan, according to Taran Adarsh, a film reviewer and industry expert, who first announced the news on Twitter. The picture will begin production in January.
According to a recent report, “Aditya Chopra has immense trust in Siddharth Anand to deliver a grand visual spectacle that has never been seen before with Tiger vs. Pathaan.” Siddharth will also be given all the support he needs to mount Tiger vs. Pathaan as the biggest film that India has ever produced, the report continued, quoting the source. “Siddharth is getting a dream cast of Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan coming together for their first full-fledged film since Karan Arjun,” the report further stated.
Spy is already in action
Other than the first two Tiger movies and War (2019), which stars Hrithik Roshan as a RAW operative, YRF also has a spy universe. Tiger Shroff also appeared in the movie. This year’s Diwali is the planned release date for the third instalment of the Tiger series, which once again stars Salman Khan. Ayan Mukerji’s War 2, which stars Hrithik, is allegedly also in production. Pathaan, starring Shah Rukh, was the fourth movie set in the YRF spy world. Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Dimple Kapadia, and Ashutosh Rana were all involved in the movie as well.
In the movie, exiled RAW agent Pathaan (Shah Rukh Khan) teams up with ISI agent Rubina Mohsin (Deepika Padukone) to stop Jim (John Abraham), a former RAW agent who is plotting to disseminate a deadly lab-created virus throughout India. Around Republic Day in 2023, YRF’s Pathaan was presented in theatres on January 25. Both reviewers and viewers gave it generally favourable reviews. It is the most successful Indian movie of 2023.
