Chief Minister of Punjab Amrinder singh will honour the Olympians. 

Neeraj Chopra also would be honoured with Rs 2.51 crore cash reward.

Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi(Punjab Sports Minister) said on Tuesday that the state Government will honour Neeraj Chopra and other olympic athletes from Punjab with cash rewards.

Punjab Government had announced a cash reward for Neeraj Chopra of 2 crore. 

Government awarded with cash 11 players. Vice-captain Harmanpreet Singh, Dilpreet Singh,Rupinder Pal Singh, Simranjit Singh, Gurjant Singh, Shamsher Singh, Mandeep Singh, Varun Kumar, Hardik Singh and Krishan Pathak are also from Punjab.

The women’s hockey team awarded Gurjit Kaur and Reena Khokhar  and discus thrower Kamalpreet Kaur, who took sixth position, will be given Rs 50 lakh each.
