Suniel Shetty, the father-of-the-bride, confirmed to the media on Monday evening that Athiya Shetty and cricketer KL Rahul’s wedding ceremony had ended, adding, “I am now officially a father-in-law.” Suniel Shetty and his son Ahan left the wedding venue, their Khandala home, after the ceremony to hand out sweets to the media who had been stationed there all day. “Bahut acha raha, aur abhi phera bhi ho gaye, shaadi officially ho chuki hai, aur officially father-in-law bhi ban chuka hoon. The wedding is officially over, and I’m now a father-in-law ” he told the press.

The wedding ceremony, which was attended by only the Shettys’ closest family and friends, was “beautiful,” according to Suniel, who was dressed in a festive traditional outfit. He joked that the “father-in-law chakkar” should be dropped, leaving only the “father” part. “In-law ka chakkar agar hat jaye aur agar father hi rahu toh bhaut khoobsurat hai, kyunki woh part main bhaut ache se nibhaata hoon, kyunki woh part main bhaut ache se nibhaata hoon,” he said.

Suniel Shetty also stated that a wedding reception will most likely be held after the IPL season concludes.
