One of India’s best fast bowlers, Mohammed Shami, has been out of the game for almost a year owing to injury. He is currently focusing on getting better. It was at this time that he recently had the chance to make treasured moments with his daughter, Aaira, once again. One of their bonding experiences was going shopping at a nearby mall, where Shami made sure to give her plenty of attention.

Shami posted a video of their lovely day out on Instagram, capturing their touching reunion. In the video, he takes Aaira around many shops, buys presents, and spends quality time with her. He wrote a heartfelt statement to go along with the video, expressing his feelings in the words “Time stood still when I saw her again after a long time. Love you more than words can say, Bebo” 

However, allegations made by Hasin Jahan, Shami’s ex-wife, have cast a shadow over this sensitive moment. She criticized him for sharing the footage online, claiming it was just a publicity stunt. Hasin questioned Shami’s motivation when she said, “It’s just for the sake of showing off.” The passport for my daughter has expired. The new passport needs to be signed by Shami. She went to see her father for that reason, but Shami refused to sign.

Hasin went on to say that Shami didn’t always see to their daughter’s needs and didn’t get her the guitar and camera she wanted. Their rocky relationship started when they got married in 2014 and had their first child a year later. 2018 saw their breakup due to Hasin’s serious allegations of infidelity and domestic abuse. As their legal battles persist, Shami provides Aaira with a monthly contribution of Rs. 1.30 lakhs for her upbringing; she is now living with her mother.
