Unexpectedly, there is a serious issue of large scale scam in NEET 2024 result. National
eligibility and entrance test (NEET) is the all India medical entrance exam to make students
eligible for getting admission in all India’s medical colleges for under-graduation programmes.
The controversies arise regarding the getting 720 out of 720 of 67 students from a single center.
Another controversy is regarding the 718 Or 719 marks obtained by students.

The NEET exam has 180 questions, for every correct answer, students are awarded with +4
marks and for every wrong answer students are awarded with -1 marks. If students have
attempted 180 correct questions then he/she will be awarded with 720. If a student attempts 179
then he/she will be awarded with 716 marks or in case of 1 wrong answer student will get 715
marks. There isn’t any possibility of getting 718 or 719. There was news regarding the paper
leaked of NEET 2024, which went viral.

NTA clarifies the 718 and 719 marks by giving the grace marks due to time deficiency at the
allotted center for the student. There is trouble for students appearing for NEET as the cutoff
rises approx 50 marks from last year.
