On Sunday night, police barged into the live show of Oscar-winning musician A R Rahman’s concert in Pune and stopped it midway of a song saying to follow the 10 PM deadline.
Now, the AR Rahman’s fans are banging the cops in Twitter which is now trending as #DisrespectofARRahman.
As per Supreme Court rules, it is mandatory to follows a 10 PM deadline rule for all public events in Pune City to prevent noise pollution.
During the show, A R Rahman continued his live performance after 10 PM so a police officer barged in between the show and asked the performers and AR Rahman to stop it. According to media sources, A R Rahman was singing his last song ‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’ and due to involvement of his audience he didn’t realize the time limit reached beyond 10 PM.
Though the cops did ‘what is right’ yet the fans of Oscar-winning musician A R Rahman felt it as his insult and reacted on twitter:

One of them tweeted, “The police officer did what they were supposed to do! They stopped the concert because it exceeded the permitted time for the show to be performed. He didn’t mean to be rude, but #ARRahman politely accepted!”
After Sunday live show, on Monday morning, Rahman tweeted and shared a glimpse of his Pune concert and stated it as the ‘Rockstar Moment’.
