On 16th January, the whole nation celebrated the ‘National Startup Day’ with great enthusiasm to promote the young entrepreneur and their startup ideas.
The PM had called ‘start-ups’ the backbone of the ‘new India’.
The Government of India launched the Startup India initiative on 16th January 2016, aiming to build a stronger ecosystem for nurturing India’s startup culture that would further drive our economic growth, support entrepreneurship, and enable large-scale employment opportunities, the minister said in a written reply to a question raised in the Rajya Sabha, reported a news agency.
After completing the rigorous journey from 2016, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced the 16th January as the ‘National Startup Day’ in the year 2022 to promote the booming entrepreneurs and businesses under the Startup India initiative.
Again this year, with an objective to encourage a spirit of entrepreneurship among the startup communities, The Startup India Innovation Week had been organized on January 10, 2023 by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. The series of events had been organized around the topic “Founders of Today, Leaders of Tomorrow,” throughout the week which had concluded on January 16, 2023.
The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade had also planned a felicitation ceremony for the winners of the National Startup Awards 2022. And Karnataka won the this award!
