Uttar Pradesh has been the second state to make the Kerala story movie tax-free after Madhya Pradesh.
CM Yogi Aditya Nath gave this news by his Twitter handle.
In a tweet, Adityanath wrote, “The Kerala Story will be made tax-free in Uttar Pradesh.”
Before Yogi Aditya Nath, CM of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Chauhan said in a video message, “The film shows how the (life of) daughters who get entangled in the trap of love jihad get destroyed. It also exposes the design of terrorism. While we have already brought a law against (forced) conversion, the film creates awareness about the issue. This film should be watched by all and that’s why the Madhya Pradesh government is declaring the film tax-free”
The secretariat of Yogi Aditya Nath told the media that Yogi Adityanath is likely to watch the movie at a special screening with his cabinet ministers in lok sabha.
BJP is supporting this movie even though PM Modi has talked about it in one of his speeches in the Karnataka election.
The Bengal government has banned this movie with the justification that it is done to control the hatred and violence in Bengal.
Vipul Shah, the maker of the movie said on the Bengal ban, “We will take legal action against the ban imposed by the West Bengal government on the screening of the film in the state”.
