Michelle Obama’s Grammy speech got an enormous acclamation

When you’ve got an event that’s already jam-packed with celebrities, it’s no easy feat to find a surprise guest who’s famous sufficient to get the crowd truly elevated.


The erstwhile First Lady made a predictable during Sunday’s Grammy Awards, walking on stage hand-in-hand with Jada Pinkett Smith, Lady Gaga, Alicia Keys and Jennifer Lopez. As you can tell from the crowd’s response in this clip, people were pretty delighted to see her.


From the Motown evidence I wore out on the south side to the “who run the world” songs that power me through this last decade music has always helped me tell my story,” Obama said. “And I know that’s true for everyone here.


Whether we like country, or rap, or rock, music helps us share without help our dignity and sorrows, our hopes and joys. It permit us to hear one another… to invite each other in.
