Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal slams PM Modi as 21 AAP MLAs face disqualification

21 Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs face the immediate risk of disqualification as President Pranab Mukherjee has rejected the ‘dual office of profit’ bill passed in the Delhi Assembly by the state government. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal expressed frustration over the rejection of the legislation by the President and accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of hatching this conspiracy against him.

“All MLAs who were appointed as parliamentary secretaries were working for free. Neither of them was provided with money, bungalows, cars, etc. Each was allotted his specific duty. One was given the charge of water, other was given electricity, third was given medical and so on,” Kejriwal said, further adding, “Modi ji believes in Na Kaam Karunga, Na Karne Duga (neither would I work, nor will I allow to). Modi ji is afraid of all the good work which is happening in Delhi.”
